It’s The Crazy Cats or Me!

posted by Susan Wagner Jul 7, 2009 12:02 pm

Things Aren’t What They Seem

While everyone can enjoy Jim’s reply, there are two camps reading this right now. The cat people are laughing, and thinking to themselves, “Of course the cats stay”. The non-cat people are probably calling them a few choice names. But what if we take an energetic perspective on the situation? Could Frankie and Alexandra have been Patty’s best friends? What if Patty had understood that their behavior was not about dislike for her, but reflections of a negative vibration in her energy field? Could that information have prevented many episodes of professional heartache for her?

What do I mean when I say energy field, and how does it relate to Patty and the cats? Quantum physics has taught us that every thing that exists is made of energy, including living beings. A profound, Nobel Prize winning study done by Brian Josephson showed that tiny particles making up our bodies are actually waves of energy. His discovery is no different than finding a dog that looks like a dog, acts like a dog, yet meows, purrs and generally runs the household. In other words, finding a dog that is also a cat. A particle is a particle, and a wave is a wave–that’s that. Or is it? Since that discovery, scientists now know that every bit of who we are, down to the tiniest of tiniest substances, is a wave. In fact, all of the particles that we thought were particles–electrons, protons, etc–are made up of vibrations of energy. We are all one big wave of electromagnetic radiation. This radiation creates a magnetic field, called the biofield. Biofields receive and send energy waves. Every living being is a cell phone or radio–we receive and transmit energy.

You may be familiar with a different name for our biofield: our “aura.” Yes, the concept that seemed to originate in fantasy nonsense told to us by healers, psychics and ghost busters–has now been measured by scientists. It’s not fantasy at all, but one of the incredible realities that will change the way we live as much as knowing the world is round instead of flat. The concepts of energy and biofields aren’t just theories, they have been measured in laboratories by magnetocardiography, magnetoencephalography, and by machines called Superconducting Quantum Interference Devices (SQUIDs).

To who ever suggested Feliway many thanks.
I was at the vets about 10 days ago with one cat but asked again about our cat that sprays and pees usually several times a day. The vet said they had been trying Feliway and I said I had heard of it. He said it worked like a miracle with his son's cats.
I said anything is worth trying even thought it is expensive. The atomizer we used for two days but still had pee so we also bought the spray. We went away for 4 days and left our daughter to look after the animals in between going to work.
We have been home nearly 3 days and so far maybe saw one spot. Today nothing. This is a miracle for our house so we will see how it goes over the next month.
While we were away our daughter sprayed a little of the spray in each room and the atomizer is in the living room. I have done the same since we got back.
Whoever invented Feliway I would think will be come a millionaire, if it works they should.
The vet suggested an elderly lady whose cat keeps scatching her should try it. He was worried about the lady getting an infection so I hope it works for her.
I keep wanting to fall to sleep, not sure whether it is the heat or the Feliway. LOL

@ Sheila N Try pulling ALL dry food for your kitty. Dry food has the tendency to irritate the esophageal lining and urinary tract which then can cause inflammation so kitty gets UTI. Try only feeding wet food 2 or 3 times a day. Also, I recommend getting probiotics to sprinkle in the food so that his flora and fauna are replaced with healthy biotics. Good luck.

Did the woman in the story not possess a spray bottle with water? Actually, the cat's "owner" should have diciplined them. Would you let your child piss all over the furniture?

I'm pretty philisophical, but letting the house burn down while you meditate on the nature of the flame is just rediculous.

I wrote an earlier post asking if anyone knew about the energy relationship and through the help of another Care2 member (thanks JennyLynn!) I feel I understand better. It is not that your animal is like you but it reacts in reaction to your mood more. When I am upset or angry my new kitten goes crazy and starts attacking my older cat. Sort of what I would like to do to the person who made me made in the first place but I feel too civilized to do. The kitten doesn't know those things yet and just reacts. Well now I can control the situation a bit. I should have know because I figured out that is what the Supernanny teaches on her show but with children.

I think one of my cats is quite like me, but the other was abused before we rescued him and he is real scaried-cat, SUPER shy, nothing like me.

I have tried the cologne, I used I used Gapscent So Pink which I love. I think it stopped them peeing in that spot but found another one. Cats are not supposed to like citrus, so I use a cleaning spray with lemon in it. This doesn't always work.
I am so glad to have found this thread, at least our cats are not the only ones that do it. We always though it was just male cats but we have all female. Long to hear of something that stops them doing it. Urin Off is a very good product that takes the smell away. It can be bought on line and just by chance is shipped from a carpet shop 10 mins from where I live. At about $20 it is worth it.

This doesn't work for me. I have 2 cats and they are very different with their own personalities. So they obviously don't reflect me.

I tried the Jean Natee body cologn that was suggested to me to stop my kitty from urinating on the carpeting--a new habit after we put an addition on our home. Another one that didn't work. Any more? Yes, we've replaced the carpeting, cleaned it with enzyme cleaner with abundant furvor. And still no luck since we put on this addition. Sorry, didn't work.

I agree with the poster who said that cats (and dogs) reflect their owner's personalities. Often when non-cat people pipe up claiming that cats are standoffish or cold or other derrogatory terms, I tell them, "Not my cats." They are sociable, sweet, loving and absolutely adore me. They'd rather curl up WITH me than all alone. However they are cautious when they first meet new people - just like me.
