Do you have a closet full of clothes that don’t suit your fancy or just don’t fit anymore? I do. So today I’m not going to procrastinate any longer. No more opening the closet door, feeling overwhelmed by the amount of work involved, and just closing it again. Today, I’m knuckling down and cleaning out my closet and sorting through my clothes in storage bins. There are people who would benefit from these clothes and I’m not going to let them sit collecting dust any longer. Then, I’m off to deliver them to a charity.
If you haven’t been following this series, I’m doing my part (well, at least trying) to spread kindness in the world by giving 29 gifts in 29 days, inspired by the book 29 Gifts. And, I’m asking you to join me. If you’re just tuning in, check out the first blog in this series.
If you have clothes to donate, or can give something else to someone in need, please help by joining the Kindness Revolution. No gift is too small. Every kind gesture counts. Let’s transform the world one good deed at a time.
To continue the spirit of giving, make sure you add your comments to my blog over the next four weeks because, with the help of the kind people at Care2.com, I’ll be giving away free copies of my books today and every Saturday in June! Winners will be selected from the comments!

This is something that I do remember to do, as I haven't much space. Sue's comment about refuges is one I'll look into. Wearable stuff can go to the charity shop, and things too broken or paint-spattered for anyone to wear can be recycled as textiles.
Every six months or so, I clear out my wardrobe and linen cupboards. Clothing goes to charities for people, sheets and towels and older blankets go to animal charities.
I always donate all I can to charity! I feel good because I am able to help someone!
I donate old (but still able to be worn in public) clothes to charity (Goodwill) all the time. It always gives me such a great feeling and it helps others and the community. Thanks.
I had a dream last night that my husband came home from the local charity shop, carrying clothes I had donated!!
Thank you.
thanks
