Kitaro credits powers beyond himself for his music, which focuses on peace and spirituality. He first became known in the 1970s as a New Age musician, using a synthesizer to create the sounds of many instruments. His most famous work was the soundtrack for the NHK series, The Silk Road.
Heaven and Earth received a Golden Globe award for Best Original Score. The title track is here paired with evocative imagery, much of it pictures on or around the Li River in China. The pictures are lovely though I don’t care for many of the transitions. Nevertheless, watch it full screen.

Thanks for the article.
Very peaceful and relaxing.
I adore Kitaro music! I'll never forget the 1st time I heard him I had just lost my mother & my nerves were terribly raw. His music has calmed me thru many depressing times. :)
It was in the library in Jamaica, Queens that I first became familiar with the music of Kitaro. He is one of my favorite musicians. The energy that flows through him is sensually alive with love! Thank you for sharing.
Lovely, although as you said, the transitions were disruptive to all the beauty.
