Learn How to Prevent Diabetes in 2 Minutes

Learn How to Prevent Diabetes in 2 Minutes

Do you have diabetes or pre-diabetes (your blood sugar is higher than normal but not yet abnormal enough to be diagnosed as having diabetes)? Are you sure?

By 2020 it’s estimated that 1/3 of Americans will either be diabetic or pre-diabetic. 366 million people in the world have it now and diabetes is killing someone in the world every 7 seconds.

According to the American Diabetes Association, these are the symptoms of diabetes:

Type 1 Diabetes

  • Frequent urination
  • Unusual thirst
  • Extreme hunger
  • Unusual weight loss
  • Extreme fatigue and Irritability

Type 2 Diabetes*

  • Any of the type 1 symptoms
  • Frequent infections
  • Blurred vision
  • Cuts/bruises that are slow to heal
  • Tingling/numbness in the hands/feet
  • Recurring skin, gum, or bladder infections

*Often people with type 2 diabetes have no symptoms

For many people, diabetes is preventable. I’ve created this educational music video to help you learn how. It’s 2 minutes long with lots of easy to remember information. Don’t let diabetes take control of you.

I have type 2 diabetes and watch my weight, what I eat and test my blood and visit an endocrinologist every 3 months to review results of my quarterly blood tests. This works for me.

Um. This is supposed to help?

Type 1 diabetes - Usually develops during adolescence, but can happen any time. You produce little to no insulin, and it is NOT curable. Your blood sugar can rise, and because energy (starch) don't get to your muscles, you may feel achy & hungry and eat more. Even though you eat more, you still lose weight because the sugars don't go where they're supposed to. You feel thirsty due to high sugars, so you drink more and flush it out.

Type 2 - You make insulin, but your body resists the way insulin is utilized in your body, or doesn't produce enough to manage numbers. If the second, it can be life threatening, as it can be managed but not cured. The first may be able to be if you work out, lose weight, etc. If you use insulin, you may stop producing your own.

Glyburide can help you stimulate your pancreas into making more, and another drug is available to utilize the insulin better. With proper diet and exercise, you can actually lose the diabetes along with the excess weight, if you have type 2, as it usually affect those who are over weight.

Cut down on carbs, skip the sugar, and eat whole foods such as baked potato with skin, sweet potatoes, etc. Both types can have dizziness and lightheadedness. It would be very bad to give someone with HIGH blood sugar candy, as it can raise it up to toxic levels. People with LOW sugars should NOT take insulin, as they may pass out.

These are the down to earth facts.

Being a vegetarian helps prevent diabetes and cancer and anxiety!

You are what you eat.

Meat is chemicals, pain and fear.

I was healed of diabetes over 3 years ago.

Every once in a while I still check my blood sugar.
After all, I'm eating anything I want.

My blood sugar readings are very healthy.

I am grateful.

Thanks for the info...............I also take cinnamon capsules every day to help bring my blood glucose down a little....(on the advice of my doctor.) I'm not diabetic yet, but have a family history. Also losing a little weight and exercising is key!
