L.A. has a brand new bag – and it’s reusable. The nation’s second largest city has banned plastic grocery bags in an effort to keep its beaches and waterways cleaner.

Way to go Los Angeles. Plastic bags, and other plastic items, need to be banned across the United States. Plastic bags fill are all over the land. They end up in trees, landfills, oceans, etc. They are horrible and other plastic items bring poison into your home and food. It's time to call for a nation wide ban on all plastic.

Wow, that's great news! :)

dale: There are biodegradable plastic bags made from starch. Maybe dog owners could use those?

Terrific, hope the plan spreads to other cities and Canada.
