Mayan Hair Secret Formula
8 comments

By the Care2 Staff.

Find out the Mayan secret for soft, shining, lustrous hair. This simple formula is one of the most nourishing things you can do for your hair. If blow-drying and winter dry air have left your tresses dry, flyaway, or damaged, let this formula–which uses a traditional ingredient prized by the Mayans–restore silky luster and beauty to your hair.

Read the formula here:

INGREDIENTS
1 avocado (1/2 for shorter hair)–and save the peel to use in another beauty formula
1 egg yolk
1/2 teaspoon olive oil

1. Mash avocado and mix with other ingredients, stirring thoroughly to combine.

2. Apply mixture to hair and allow it to remain for 30 minutes or longer.

3. Shampoo and condition as usual.

Ms. Fernandez, I'm sorry but that's not necessarily a incorrect statement. It depends on when this recipe was developed. The Spanish DID come over to the Mayans, thus they speak Spanish now; imperialism. Also, many Black Indians from America ran away to Mexico to avoid war and slavery, as well. Many Mexicans today are mixed with both indigenous Indian Tribe blood as well as Black and Spanish blood. So it all depends on when this recipe was 1st done... It is possible.

Sounds yummy and I think the hair will like it. The avocado and egg yolks are both good for hair. Avocado is also good for skin.

Is their a vegan substitute for the egg yolk?

Do you apply this before shampooing while your hair is dirty or do you wash your hair first then apply this formula and then was again?
