Meditating on a Rose

You are not in the world, the world is in you.
Get closer to the real creator inside you by meditating on a rose.

To say that you are the creator isn’t the same as to say that your ego is. The ego will always remain attached to your personality, and certainly your personality doesn’t create everything around you. Creation doesn’t happen on that level.

Get a beautiful red rose and hold it in front of you. Inhale the fragrance and say to yourself, “Without me, this flower would have no fragrance.” Take in the glowing crimson color and say to yourself, “Without me, this flower would have no color.” Stroke the velvety petals and say to yourself, “Without me, this flower would have no texture.” Realize that if you subtract yourself from any sensation—sight, sound, touch, taste, smell—the rose would be nothing but atoms vibrating in a void.

Now consider the DNA that is inside each cell in the rose. Visualize the billions of atoms strung along a double helix and say to yourself, “My DNA is looking at the DNA in this flower. The experience is not an observer looking at an object. DNA in one form is looking at DNA in another form.”

Now see the DNA begin to shimmer and turn into invisible vibrations of energy. Say to yourself, “The rose has vanished into its primal energy. I have vanished into my primal energy. Now only one energy field is looking at another energy field.”

Lisa, think of it like this: If you take a bite of apple pie, even if you're eating with others, the taste of that bite is unique to you. Some may taste the apples; some may marval at the flaky crust; While you savor all of the individual ingredient... the apples, the cinnamon; the lemon juice, ect. Your DNA created the flavor of that bite of apple pie. Then you can take notice of the DNA of each ingredient of that apple pie. Your DNA creates a personal and unique perspective to all other DNA that you encounter. To me, green peas are an oowee gooey mess! To your DNA they might be wonderful little veggies that explode delicious flavor onto your tongue! Hope this helps. And, as a beginner, NEVER say 'I'm sorry' when asking a question. That's how we all learn. God bless!

We are matter/energy the same as a rose. it is in us, and we in it. particles of knowing sub atomic thinking stuff.

I will apologize before I even ask this, but isn't that being egotistical? To suggest that you have so much power? That you hold all the keys, & that without you, nothing could exist on it's own? Science for example proves that dinosaurs existed before we did, not the other way around. So isn't it egotistical to suggest that we're the creators of "everything"?
I am completely new to this way of thinking, but am trying to open my mind, or rather, open it more fully. I embrace & except all races, religions & creeds. So I guess this is just the next step for me.
