Imagine a world where no women are abused, no women live in poverty, all women are literate, all women have healthcare, and all women have the economic independence to help themselves and their family strive to achieve their full potential. A tall order, but Women for Women is an international organization that envisions all this and more. Women for Women believes that all members of communities should have full and equal participation in the processes that ensures their health and well-being. This diagram shows how Women for Women works.
World of Good has teamed up with Women for Women to help women who are survivors of war and civil strife to build better lives. World of Good is helping Women for Women International raise money for its programs that are geared towards women victims of war. They have a star-studded fundraiser at Giving Works happening just in time for Mother’s Day.
In addition, Mother’s Day shoppers at the World of Good site can support these women and mothers two-fold: a percentage of proceeds from the sales select group of items will be donated to Women for Women, and World of Good is also matching the donations from their sales. Here’s the page to shop for the cause. Many of the items were created using recycled and repurposed materials like this Bottle Pendant, and this Grow A Lily set of note cards embedded with seeds on tree-free recycled paper.

Thank you for the great information
Too much fun! Kids just love to play, no matter the species.
Most of my recent experiences at work have been less than positive. Maybe because of a general atmo…
Very cute. Loved the pickin' too.

+ add your ownThis was one of the saddest things on the Cherokee Trail of Tears, mothers could not protect their own children.
In classes I took on trauma, we were taught that such trauma becomes genetic, it's in the cells.
My great grandmother, Annie Humingbird was not able to protect her children, neither was my grandmother, or my mother. And I, also, was not able to protect my children.
Has the trauma ended? My daughter cannot have children?
I love my mom
Thanks Ronnie. Happy Mothers Day to all Moms.
THANK YOU
Thank you for this info.
Happy Mothers day to every mother species!
Mothers and women have gotten such a bad rap, and women often don't support each other. This world needs to get together more on a serious note and stop the darn greed. No need for big diamond rings, equity for all.
Yes, I hope enough of the good.
Thank you for sharing & Happy Mothers day to all mothers!
