Thank you, chief, indeed, for re-framing the debate. There are PLENTY of possible BIOFUELS. Switchgrass (panicum virgatum) is one. We do not have to use food supplies, that would hardly be a good defensive move, now would it? Brilliant re-frame!
Remember, Monsanto makes plenty of corn--making fuel out of it would be a good use for it!
Just as long as it isn't ethanol or some other equally destructive fuel, bio or not. Promising though...

He is right-on, and I do think lawmakers will understand it. It's only common sense.
What will be the price of corn if the navy needs it for biofuel ? Can people still afford to eat corn then ?
