Ever hug someone and think, “Oooh, their hair smells so good”? It definitely makes you want to hug them again. And nothing could be nicer than using all-natural essential oils to give your hair a delicate fragrance–especially if the scent suits your personality.

Delicately scenting your hair is one lovely way to express yourself–and to invite a few more hugs. We include the easy basic formula, as well as several scent choices to suit different types: sporty, romantic, earthy, or mysterious. It’s fun and easy. Find out how:

BASIC FORMULA
Mix 5 drops essential oil (just one type, or a combination) with 2 cups warm water. Apply as a rinse to damp, freshly-washed hair. Squeeze out excess and allow hair to dry.

Refreshingly Sporty Citrus
grapefruit, lemon, orange

Romantically Floral
jasmine, lavender, rose

Earthily Herbal
basil, mint, rosemary, sage

Mysteriously Woodsy
balsam pine, cedar, juniper, patchouli, sandalwood, ylang ylang
