Pets on Parade: The Grand Finale

Meet the Care2 community of precious pets! We put out the call for your holiday pet photos and you answered — with photos of cats in Santa hats, dogs in bows, ferrets in Christmas trees, even a donkey in the snow. Today we have all the submissions right here for you in a holiday grand finale. Here you have it: Care2 pets on parade! (See all of the slideshows here!)

Brutus (pictured above) is a pitt lab mix and he is 16 years old now. He is a super sweet old dog, but back in the day he was a bit of a bruiser. He liked to carry logs, fetch sticks up and down the canyons of Los Angeles and go wave jumping at the beach. He’s had a long, happy life and he’s put up with a lot of funny outfits. This reindeer outfit is from when he was around 7 or 8 years old.

Bella is 2 years old, rescued and adored. She gets along with everyone and all kinds of animals as well. Her favorite things to do are lay on the couch, run with the other dogs and play tug with us. She acts human-like on any given day and seems to be thinking hard all the time. Bella lives with her family and other animals, dogs, cat, goats and horses on a small farm in Washington state.

Zoey is about 6 months old and adopted by nine-year-old Gracie two months ago. (She was rescued from a shelter at 3 weeks old– they were planning to euthanize her and her siblings.) Zoey has two tabby kitty siblings and they all get along great!

Bailey with antlers under the Christmas tree. Doesn’t he look a bit like Max from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas? Adorable! (Thanks Ned!)

Here is Bode, a 1-year-old dog, whose M.O., according to Care2 team member Chris, is “frenetically mellow.” Bucky the cat is pictured in the background, and their sibling Reno is somewhere in the back, hiding in the closet. (Thanks Chris!)

Cindy Sue waiting for Santa to arrive in Australia.

“The Things I Have To Do For Your Amusement……”

This is Louie, also called Gooey Louie, according to Louie’s mom Debi Kittle, because he drools in her hair when he cuddles and ‘makes biscuits’ on her shoulder. He is a very loving Siamese mix, and is also polydactyl–he has extra thumbs on his front paws! Debi works at the Greenville Humane Society and saw him come in with his two siblings and knew he had to come home with her. Louie is now a year-and-a-half old.

Cleo and Leia from Yardley, Pennsylvania.

Newfoundland dogs belong in the Working Group and are truly happiest when given a job to do. Three-year-old Katie is no exception. She is a certified therapy dog who stays busy with frequent visits to our local Hospice center, nursing homes and Easter Seals. Katie is also a draft dog and took last Saturday off from her therapy work to pull a few friends around in her little red wagon. -Charity Dennington and Wilbon’s Katie Scarlett O’Hara “Katie”, CGC (Canine Good Citizen), TDI (Therapy Dogs Intl) and RA (Rally Advanced Obedience)

Henry is 5 years old and lives in Kansas City, MO. He is FIV positive, but has a strong spirit and loves to cuddle and hide under blankets. He is not very tolerant of dressing up, but managed to stay still for five minutes, long enough for Rebekah to dress him up in his reindeer costume and capture his disgruntled expression. He crouched in a corner and refused to move until she took it off. His cat brother, Rupert, 2 years old, (next page) was slightly more accommodating, when trying it on.

Rupert, Henry’s sibling.

Spirit is a 10 year-old Cocker Spaniel from Farmingdale, New Jersey, who still looks and acts like a puppy! She loves whipped cream and comes running as soon as she hears the can, and goes crazy when you sing the “C is for Cookie” Cookie Monster song (because she knows that this means she will be getting a treat!). She loves to get dressed up, and even wears a rain coat outside when its raining to keep her fur nice and dry! -Autumn (Spirit’s mom)

This is our fur baby, Mr. Rutgar. He was a rescue that was living in an abusive environment. He has a physical deformity from birth, twisted front legs, that very likely would have kept him from finding a good home or even reaching adulthood… but he found us. He is now 4 years old and we love him to bits. Despite his odd front legs, he’s doing very well and can run and jump with the best of them. Nothing seems to slow him down. He has an amazing and indomitable spirit. -P’Emily Youngreen from Kaslo, BC

“Happy Holidays! Ruff! Ruff!” says Kita.

Oscar is a kitten from Ada, Oklahoma. He loves to bat at the Christmas tree decorations with his six-toe “mittens.”

Bella is about 3 months and lives in Sacramento, California. She is a very jumpy and loud Chihuahua and loves to get what she wants (she usually does). She also loves to cuddle on people’s shoulder–like a bird!

Amber is a two-year-old Russian Blue. She lives with her caretaker Luna in Clinton, Mississippi. This was her first Christmas. As you can tell, she enjoyed the tree very much.

This is Raggedy Andy (or Andy for short). Andy is now 5 years old and is quite a character. He believes he rules the kitty household over his 5 other ‘siblings.’ Andy is quite vocal and makes his presence known. He lives in Spring Prairie, Wisconsin with his family.

Bunny, a 14-year-old Manx, is amazed that the tree is up and still doesn’t have presents under it!

Farley, an 11-month-old Glab (Golden Retriever and Lab Mix), is currently in the Guiding Eyes for the Blind puppy program; he will be tested for guide work in June and his puppy raisers are confident he will be successful. Here he is visiting the Danbury Mall in Connecticut.

This is Chloe and Jasper. They are 7-month-old Siamese/Ragdolls. They live in Dalton, Massachusetts. Also in this photo are the urns of their owner’s previous pets, Scooter and Muffin, who lived to the ripe old ages of 17 and 20.

This is Fred wondering if this little gift might be for him. Fred is 2-1/2 years old. He lives in Pensacola, Florida and is “brother cat” to Sam, Scotty, Luna, Poppy, Yoda, and Tess. He loves to sit under the Christmas tree and look at the lights, sometimes taking long naps there. He also enjoys chasing ice-chips across the kitchen floor and wrestling with Scotty.

This is a picture of Gracie Anne. She was 13 when she died August 1, 2008 of kidney disease. According to her owner, Mrs. R Ozarek, Gracie Anne was the best dog in the whole world. Someone bought Gracie Anne from a local pet shop, and just couldn’t deal with what an exuberant and incredibly smart puppy she was. She taught the next dog who joined the family– Murphy (a.k.a. Gracie Anne’s Boy, Murphy) all the tricks of the trade like how to sit, stay, and shake hands. Gracie Ann’s been gone now for one year and four months, and is still very missed.

Gwen is about 5 years old now from Rochester, New York, and is probably a Russian Blue. She has a very silky coat, green eyes, and bluish-gray nose and pads. Gwen is mischievous, and loves to roll over on her back and play. She’s similar to a roly-poly with her generous middle.

This is Io. Io was named after one of Jupiter’s moons. In this picture, he is sitting underneath the Christmas tree, poking through the branches to look out. He is 6 years old and was adopted when he was just over one year. He had been found in a parking lot with another cat and a litter box. He is a bit nervous and cautious sometimes, but he will still always greet people at the door. He is friendly, but not always cuddly. He has one “brother,” Angel, a solid black 10-year old boy cat who was adopted when he was 8 and Io was 4. They live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

This is Max at Christmastime; in this picture he is 1 year old. He lives with two other cats (Gypsy and Smokie) and a dog (Misty). Max likes boxes to climb and hide, climbing as high as he can on windows, mantles, wire shelving, and he likes to look at the world from his perch. He gets along with all the other pets in the house and is somewhat of a comedian; he has really cute expressions and is very friendly. He is an inside cat, but with the ability of an escape artist, he likes to run outside at every opportunity. He is very affectionate and is happy sitting next to his owner or head butting her for attention. Max and all of his siblings are neutered, and all were rescues.

Seven is 10 years young from Matawan, New Jersey, and loves snow, good conversation, and napping under the tree.

Mr. J. P. Pigg, and 18-year-old Cornish Rex gets so excited about Christmas that he has to take frequent naps just to calm down.

This is Poppy happily decorating a Christmas tree. Poppy is 5 years old. She lives in Pensacola, Florida and is “sister cat” to Sam, Scotty, Luna, Poppy, Yoda, and Tess. She loves to climb, obviously, and play with furry mice toys.

Raven girl (a.k.a. Rae-cat) simply ADORES the Christmas tree, becoming the perfect angel, at least for a little while! Rae is approximately 12 years old, and is very active and quick. Just as her namesake, the avian Raven, she can be a trickster. She’s very clever, gets into things, takes things to hide away, and is usually quite full of mischief! She loves to leap onto the highest perch in the house, which is above the kitchen cupboards!

This is Takashi howling “Jingle Bells.” He is a 12-year-old maltese and was rescued three years ago from a shelter. He is playful as a puppy. Takashi’s companion is Maya, a 6 year old maltese, and his three cat siblings are Fellini, Baby and Ricky, all rescues. They all live in Miami.

As a small kitten, Tiggy soon learned to climb up the inside of the Christmas tree. She would fall asleep in the branches, and as her neighbor has pointed out, she looks just like a little ornament!

“Hmm… I wonder if that present is for me?”

-Trissa, two years old, from Victoria, Texas

Onyx waiting for Santa

Onyx, a 20-month-old Tortie, loves to have her teeth brushed. Every morning she wakes her owner up at 7:30 am and heads to the bathroom sink, waiting patiently for her teeth to be brushed. She lives in Altamonte Springs, Florida.

Oliver playing around inside the Christmas tree.

Weasel is approximately ten years old, and is originally from Guelph, Ontario. She now lives in Sudbury, Ontario with her owner Chantal. Weasel loves posing for the camera and having her picture taken.

On the left, with the big tongue is Kobi. She is approximately 2 years old and she met her owner almost a year ago through a Min Pin rescue in Texas. On the right is Bitsy. She is 3 years old, was born in a puppy mill and used as a breeding dog until she was rescued in a raid. She has been part of her new family for 7 months now. She also has a sibling Chloe, a rescue cat, who is 8 years old and rules the home, even occasionally herding the dogs. All three are very affectionate and their favorite thing is to cuddle.

Josie (yellow lab) knew she was going to get a cookie after the photo. Rivers (black lab) did not care about the cookie and kissed Santa–or tried to take his beard off! Josie was not happy with Rivers; he was standing between her and a cookie.

Butchy Claus a.k.a. Butch is a 6-and-a-half-year-old male white boxer. Happy and charismatic, he loves people and is very playful and giddy. He is a very happy boy, and wouldn’t know what to do without his best friend Brudolf a.k.a. Bruti (next page)! Living in San Diego, California, Butchy has never seen the snow, but loves to dress up in his winter clothes, including his Butchy Claus costume.

Brudolf a.k.a. Bruti is a white boxer who will be 7 on Valentine’s Day. She’s a little bit shy, but very sweet. Bruti loves to snuggle and play with her best friend Butchy Claus. Bru lives in San Diego, but never minds dressing up in her warm Christmas costumes, because it’s fun! She’s a very sweet and Brutiful girl, indeed!

This is four-year-old Kiva, a purebred German Shepherd, at her first Santa photo. She was happy to sit in the seat that day but was quite taken aback with this strange man sat down with her instead of her Mom. It was only someone brandishing a squeaky toy that removed her worried look and perked those ears.

Kiva is an active dog with an exuberant personality. Her presence is so warm that she affects everyone around her. Her and her owner are often stopped on their walks by people of all ages who want to spend time with her. “I smilingly warn youngsters to watch out as she aims wet kisses at little faces that are within her reach,” says Care2 member Joey O. from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Due to Kiva’s love of people, she is involved in the St. John’s Ambulance Therapy Dog program and visits a local seniors’ home twice a month.

Happy Holidays and kisses from “the Kiv” and purrs from her sister Lissa!

This is Pierre, a 9-year-old Miniature Poodle from Yountville, California. He is a Therapy Dog at the Veterans Home of Yountville, and he works daily serving our veterans. He runs down the hall, and when he sees a veteran he either lies on his back to get a belly rub or he backs up to them to get a butt rub. He loves to chase the squirrels on the grounds. He is well loved by all.

Pierre enjoys basking in the sun, eating and especially sleeping!

Maddie is a 2 year old female boxer/lab who was adopted at a local shelter (Harbor Humane Society-West Olive, Michigan). “She is a little excitable, but what a pretty dog,” says owner Rebecca. She’s turned out to be a great dog and kept her owners exercising and motivated throughout the last year. She has inspired them to bring in two other shelter dogs as fosters and two cats as fosters this year. Maddie loves to play with other dogs, kids and adults, especially if they throw sticks to her. She wants to play with the cats, but is intimidated by their front paws. She loves giving kisses with her long wet tongue.

This is Ralph dressed as a Christmas elf. He is almost 4 years old and is a Westie X Maltese Terrier. He lives in Adelaide, South Australia with his family. He loves cheese and chicken for a treat.

Minnie is a Singapura, and she’s super affectionate and small — 7 pounds. She loves to climb high on bookcases and has beautiful big eyes and ears, all typical of her breed. In fact, she’s so affectionate, her family jokes they should have called her Velcro. The big green pillow bed and the cat perch in front of the front window are Minnie’s two favorite places to hang out.

Sophie and Maggie stick their tongues out at the camera.

Duke’s owner Gabriella dressed him in his traditional Santa suit. As you can see from his look, Duke does not like to be Santa. He is disdainful of such an embarrassing costume and his expression tells it all!

Namira, female grey and black tabby who lets her family dress her up on Christmas Day for a few minutes. Namira is 15 and likes people food more than cat food. She has been known to eat pasta and even raw tomatoes. She will lick any plate clean. She loves warm places, warm laps, and lots of food.

Tim is a rescue and a runaway who was very fearful. After four years he finally learned to trust his new family and love them. He now craves love, something he never had until he was rescued. Here he is on Christmas so relaxed on his owner’s knee and just ‘chillin’ and enjoying Christmas eve. He is from Camarillo, California.

Spud Lee is the oldest dog in the pack. He is 17 years old and was rescued from KY, when he was a pup. He is a Bull Terrier-Border Collie mix and is the most gentle, cool, clever and laid back guy. Spud Lee can tell you everything with just a look…in this picture you can see he is saying, “Hey, Mom! Must you keep taking my picture??”

Jazmin and Cuqui posing politely at Christmas.

Next page: Meet Buster, Rudy, Maggie May and more adorable Care2 pets!

Here are Buster and Ruby. Buster (the Boston Terrier) likes to visit the nursing home where his owner used to live, every Tuesday. Sometimes his Beagle friend Ruby joins him. Buster is the nursing home’s unofficial mascot and the people there love him.

Maggie May is a 10 month-old Zuchon (shitzu/bischon). Maggie is true to her perfect mask as she loves to steal shoes and socks. She’ll grab them on the run, laughing all the way.

This is Honey, a one and a half year old lab. She lives in Franklin Square, NY and is a very good girl who allows her owner to dress her up for the holidays.

This is Jerry and he is 10 1/2 years old.

This is Lemon Drop the Chihuahua. He loves to run on the beach and in parks. His very special talent is to high five and give kisses!

This is Buddy and he is a terrier mix, with some lab in him, believe it or not.

Tallulah the five year old Shih Tzu Bichon cross who lives in Port Moody, BC and is a dedicated lap and couch potato. She spends her days begging for bananas and herring and sleeping by the fire.

This is Jake, an adorable Standard Dachshund mix about 16 months old. He lives in La Porte, TX. He loves to chew, go to the dog park and Camp Bow Wow, and meeting playing with new people and dogs in general.

Bugsie sitting pretty with her adorable pink kitty outfit.

Caesar is 8, going on 9, and lives in Huntington Beach, CA. This is his 2009 annual Christmas card photo; every year, it takes a handful of treats to get him to pose for his photo. This year he is wearing a Sombrero–in honor of his native Mexico. Feliz Navidad from California.

This cute pomeranian’s name is Captain Jack Sparrow in his Christmas hat surrounded by all the presents he will help Santa deliver this year. He lives in University Heights, Ohio. and is very talented. He can sit, stay, roll over, play dead, jump through hoops, jump on my back, dance, high-5 (high 10 actually) and shake “hands”.

This is Cloomy looking very cute in his Santa hat.

Cody is a bundle of energy and has personality to spare, he is always up for a game of fetch or chase and has to be the center of all activities. Christmas time is a blast for Cody, as he loves to unwrap his own presents and according to Cody there can never be too many dog toys in his toy box.

Yippee and Butch are sister and brother, born in 2006 in Chicago, IL.

Benjamin the cat, Remy the dog, wearing their finest Chanukah gear.

Marley is a 4-year old Australian cattle dog from Temecula, CA. He is the younger brother to Maya, a 7-year old labweiler. Marley is a crazy boy that will do just about anything for food. This is Rosie and she is about eight years old. Looking very cute living in Philadelphia.

This is Shelby the Shelty, age 5 from Altadena CA. She has had it with the crowds and late nights. Bah Humbug. But Santa’s cookies, Yum.

This is Sydney and is about two years old. She lives Matawan, New Jersey. Wishing everyone a warm, joyous holiday and a Happy New Year!

This is Bunny sitting in a box enjoying the crinkle of wrapping paper.

This is precious Kinky, who was 12 when he left us.

This is Rocco and he is about 8 to 9 years old. He is the biggest baby/lover/lapcat you could ever ask for. He loves his wet food and his Mama.

Callie looking cute while enjoying the holidays.

Welcome to our seventh day of cute holiday pet photos – your pets in festive surroundings!

Coco the Chihuahua climbed into the wreath while his parents were putting up decorations!

Copper is 4 months old and is very cuddly. A lot of people think hes a stuffed animal until they meet him in person.

This is 3-year-old Euri from Houston, TX. His favorite past times include doggy massages, chasing cats and squirrels, giving hugs, and eating carrots. He can perform 13 tricks and has a knack for manipulating his parents with his cuteness.

Here is Lulu snuggled up and filled with Christmas cheer.

Max is 9 years old and is a great dog who absolutely loves kids and of course Christmas time!

Max looking very handsome posing by the fireplace.

Shadow is about 4 years old and is a very laid-back, precious cat.

Tartan Trouble, MacDon Henley and Hamish Macbeth all Scottish Terriers are so popular at Christmas with red velvet dresses and plaids of all tartans. They go to represent Scotties at The Wisconsin Highland Game’s Celtic Canine Tent and attend the annual Door County Scottie Rally in May. Imagine up to 200 little swaying Scottie behinds parading behind drummers and pipers through Bailey’s Harbor.

This is “Santa Duck”–a sweet duck who enjoys spending time as a Pet Therapist!

This is Leo aka “Little Tyke.” He is posing with Santa, who happens to be Sara, the Founder of Blue HAWK (Helping Animals With Kindness)! Leo was rescued by Sara in the median of highway 9 in Norman, OK. He fell in love with Sara’s 97 year old dad and Sara, but barely tolerates anyone else. He is a cutie though and has found his “Forever Home.”

This toy poodle is named CHIO. She is 3 years old. She is the most loving little dog ever, Diana says. She also thinks she’s the boss, loves chasing birds, thinks everyone (animal or human) is her friend including moving cars, bikes etc. She loves to run on the beach like a torpedo and enjoys destroying children’s sandcastles, loves playing with her stuffed animals and puts them to bed every night to sleep with her, loves travel, hiking, going to the mall, loves snuggling and napping on the couch with her daddy.

Bauer in his Christmas socks in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada. He is a very patient dog and let’s us dress him up, Thelma says. He is an Australian Shepherd and rings a bell when he needs to go out.

Pablo (age 6, on the left) and Tegan (age 3, on the right) live in Salem, OR. Tegan and Pablo love being wth each other. They always sleep side by side, and when one gets up, they both do. Pablo’s favorite toy is a little white dirty ball. Tegan likes to chew on a piece of belt or strings on someone’s pants.

“The heavens parted on July 26, 2009, and Percy was henceforth delivered into the world,” Ann said. She had been searching for a pet for two years since moving to Austin, TX and then saw his picture online-he was up for adoption. The ad said his mother was part Siamese and his father was a traveling salesman. Percy was raised with three Yorkie terriers, and is convinced he’s a dog. He only plays with dog toys, and his favorite is a squeaky stuffed bone bigger than he is. He likes long walks on his leash, and quiet evenings in front of the fire. Don’t gaze too long into his hypnotic amber eyes, or you will succumb to his powerful charms.

This is Magnum, Dawn’s 13-year-old ‘Chocolate Love’. “He has given me 13 years of Lovin Chistmas’ and every year he gets a special Christmas collar,” Dawn says. Magnum and Dawn live in Albuquerque, NM.

Zoey in 2006 with her favorite toy reindeer. Zo was a very lovable, very cross-eyed, Maine Coon. She lost her battle with Lymphoma earlier this month, but her reindeer remains a holiday decoration!

Bogey lives in Flower Mound, Texas. He is 17 and has always been such a good pup for posing for the annual Christmas card. His brother, Quakie, lived to be 16. Quakie wasn’t as cooperative for the annual event, according to mom Sherri; in fact, Bogey scolded him every December as if to say, “Sit still–this only happens once a year, and besides, we get treats afterwards!”

“Here in Belize, we don’t have snow,” Carolyn says. But Maggie’s all decked out in her “jingle collar,” ready to accompany the school kids Christmas caroling. She knows how to “shake and jingle” on cue and loves to join in.

Banjo is a six month old Christmas enthusiast from Forestville, California.

This chihuahua’s first bark EVER came when he saw his massive pile of
wrapped presents!

He is patrolling the Christmas tree area in this photo, keeping an eye on
his gifts, and patiently awaiting opening them.

Ms. Coco Chanel is a Shiatsu/Yorkie mix. She is 8 months old and our precious 7 lb ball of fur, Sheila says. Like her human mommy, she is into purses with lot’s of bling! She is spoiled rotten and will only pose for photo’s if offered a treat, in this case it was a candy cane which was taken back as fast as it took to snap the photo. Her best bud is our 12 month old Yorkie named Yoyo. It’s amazing how much noise two little doggies can make while playing. Her favorite passtime is dumping her toy basket while pulling out every single thing in it. It seems whatever she’s looking for is always the very last item.

Ghenghis Gone loves playing in the Christmas Tree along with his other ferret siblings. Ghenghis lives in Standing Oak Ferret Hospice in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada.

Cheerio and Peppermint’s first Christmas. They were born on February, 2nd and 3rd 2007 to two female hairless rats, Piper and Phoebe. They were the only two survivors out of a total of 12. Cheerio got his name because he loved Cheerios, but only the name brand. He refused to eat the generic kind and would throw them out of his cage at his dog siblings (who were all too happy to scarf them up). Peppermint was an albino and resembled his namesake with his red eyes and pale skin. Both rats were extremely smart and affectionate. Cheerio was the more outgoing of the two (rats have very distinctive personalities). He loved to ride around on his owner’s shoulder…even when she was vacuuming! Peppermint was a bit more timid. He enjoyed his playtime, but all he really wanted to do was hang out with Cheerio. Rats require a lot of hard work, special care, and attention. They also require a lot of money in vet bills when they get sick, they are well worth every penny! Sadly, both Cheerio and Peppermint are gone now and are missed terribly.

This is my Boberoo, a.k.a. Bob, and his friend Anya. They are so photogenic! Bob, who was 23 in this picture, is a very kind soul and dresses up for all of the holidays. He loves kids and being the center of attention. We’ve had more snow this weekend so Bob, now almost 27, is ready to pose for more pictures!

Bob is an Anglo-Arab. Status: Happily retired.

This is Burbuja, a 6-and-a-half-year-old turtle who lives in Reynosa, Mexico.

This is Lottie the donkey saying hello to Penny the Border Terrier in the snow. Lottie was stolen in November three years ago. Her owners are still looking. They are from Leicester, United Kingdom.

This is Puddles and she’s 6 years old. We live in Ogden, Utah. She’ll follow me around the house, loves to swim in the bath tub and chew on shoe string. She even has her own little laugh when she sees me or thinks something is funny.

“Hey, Pooh, did you hear that noise on the roof?”

This is Nicodemus. Little Niko is about 5 years old and is living with the rest of his ferret siblings in Port Hope, Ontario, Canada at Standing Oak Ferret Rescue/Hospice.

From one of two litters that arrived in October 2008, Phoebe was one of eighteen beautiful, sweet pitbull puppies to overwhelm a household in San Francisco.

With painstaking help from Rocket Dog Rescue, all eighteen of the puppies found loving homes in the Bay Area (and some still get together to wrestle, play, cuddle, and ensure that mud is thoroughly explored).

According to her owner Charlie, when not working on a cure for cancer, Phoebe spends much of her time sleeping, running on the beach, and calculating the fiscal impact of devoting Stimulus Package funds to the purchase of treats.

Caleigh (aka California) is a 1-year-old 30 pound Labradoodle born in a huge farm in central Virginia. She now sports the lifestyle of San Jose, California, where she loves Mom and her friends (Wally is her best friend in the picture) and the beach. She loves to go to her doggie day care three times a week, where her Mom can see her play everyday on a video feed. She, of course, is the brightest and has the finest personality of all her school mates, according to her owner Bob. Our princess especially loves gourmet doggie treats!

Callie is about 6 months old and her owner Joyce received her when she was about 8-10 weeks old. She has an older neutered male cat Scamper (approximately 13 years old) and it only took about 12 hours for him to accept her in the house (Minneapolis, Minnesota). Callie loves to crawl under the blankets with Joyce when she’s watching television. But her favorite thing is to curl up with Scamper. They love to chase each other around the house and play and fight. When Joyce comes home in the evening Callie is leaning against the frame of the door waiting for her to come in. Scamper will be in the same room waiting for her to arrive.

Kona is a loyal husky 8-year-old hundred pound domesticated American-bred Labrador, who thinks he is a Laprador. Dont let his eyes make you think he is a bit slow; rather Kona is a sharp as a whip and friendly to all. He loves to greet you with a tough bark, but then wants to lick your face. His owner Bob hopes he lives forever!

Nero is a 3-year-old greyhound miniature.

Opal is a 3-year-old Border Collie Mix from Corvallis, Oregon. She is laying on her favorite snowflake blanket.

This is Zeek. His owner Estill says he is a friend to all!

Meet Foxi, a two-year old pom from Sarnia, Canada

This is little Kim and her presents, with special greetings from Germany.

Marty is Valerie’s pride and joy, he’s a 13-year old miniature long haired dachshund. He is laid back and just the little gentleman who lives in Sydney, Australia.

Lorde is a lovely 8-year-old poodle mix who was adopted from a shelter. He lives in Brazil and loves playing ball but during this time of the year he also gives Santa a little help.

This is Bully, but Bully looks like a pushover to us!

Scruffy is a 10-year old Silky/Maltese Cross from Mildura Victoria, Australia. He loves to dress up for all occasions but doesn’t let us forget that for his part in getting his photos taken he gets his favorite treat “Schmackos.” He also loves going for walks and seems that he is never tired when we say either “W” or walk. He likes to also “hide” his food bowl when he is not hungry but wants to have it for a late night snack by covering it with the food mat that he has for his food and water bowls!

Jorjia likes to dress up and act like a little lady, she lives in Marine City, Michigan and is a real joy to the whole family.

Meet Dinci from Goolwa, South Australia. Dinci loves playing in the river and the hose. He loves water!

This is Freddy, the beloved pet of Care2 member Josephine.

Pepper Potts is 9 months old and is from Spain. She is named after IronMan’s assistant. Pepper has an older sister (see next page) and four cat friends: Isis, Harley, Maggie and Charlie Chaplin.

Pepper Pott’s sister Susie with one of her cat friends.
