I wouldnt go to a psychiatrist at all b/c apparently once you have gone, that visit might come up in a myriad of ways in Questions and research for anything and against you. That is terrible. Could be for a loan for a car or lots of different things. Nope wouldnt go to one b/c that blight is against your name forever however if I needed too I d go to a psychologist b/c they heap you with therapy as said whereas who wants to be drugged up and have this pseudo bandaide on?

It's pretty simple. Psychiatrists (these days) believe that everything is caused by bad brain chemistry and prescribe drugs to supposedly "rebalance" brain chemicals. The fact that no one has ever show any mental/emotional issue to be associated with a particular chemical state in the brain doesn't slow them down for a second. Read "Anatomy of an Epidemic" by Robert Whitaker to get a real picture of the long-term impact of psychiatric drugs on the brain and on society. Far from improving a person's functioning, we appear to be taking people with a temporary issue and turning them into chronically disabled people, and spending billions doing it to boot. And killing people as well, through suicide, diabetes, heart attacks, and more. The average chronically mentally ill person dies 25 YEARS EARLIER than the general population, largely thanks to psychiatrists and their "treatments."

The psychiatrist having you lie on a couch and talk is a thing of the past. Stay away from them and their prescription pads - psychiatrists are DANGEROUS!
