Skin-Softening Aftershave

We show off more leg in summer than any other time, and we want those legs to be smooth and soft. The ingredients in this great-smelling aftershave lotion are antiseptic, hydrating, and softening, without any alcohol or harmful chemicals: a truly elegant formula. This would make a great gift idea for Father’s Day, since it works beautifully on the face, as well.

INGREDIENTS

2 cups witch hazel extract
2 ounces rose water
2 ounces aloe vera gel
1/2 to 1 ounce glycerin (use the vegetable-based kind if you are concerned about animal products)
5 drops essential oil of peppermint
5 drops essential oil of eucalyptus
1 drop myrrh tincture

1. Put all the ingredients in a glass jar with a lid, shaking thoroughly to blend.

2. Pat onto skin after shaving.

Makes 2 1/2 cups. This should keep for 6 months, but if you see any signs of mold, discard it.
