Some Video Tips On Wasting Less

Today’s piece is going to take a bit more of a visual approach than a written one thanks to the flu that has seen fit to work its way through our household and then back again. If anyone reading this is considering getting the flu, don’t. It’s no fun.
That said, here are the first two Solutions videos from my new site (www.sustainabledave.org). The idea behind these videos is to throw out one simple idea in under two minutes, and hopefully make you chuckle a bit at the same time. We’ve been successful so far on the first part, I’ll let you decide about the latter. The videos premiere each week in the Solutions Newsletter, and then head up on the site a day or so later.
Anyhow, I’m off to sleep some more, and I hope you enjoy.

For those of you who have yet to hear of the compact fluorescent light (CFL) bulbs, they save you money while saving the planet! According to the US governments Energy Star program, which advertises CFL bulbs and other substitutes for energy-hogging incandescents, a CFL uses 75% less energy than its counterpart, last up to 10 times longer and prevents more than 450 pounds of greenhouse gas emissions from entering the atmosphere. As well as being beneficial to the earth, over its lifetime, a single CFL can save you $80 or more, depending on local electric rates. This is one way to go green that you dont want to miss out on!
