State Of The Pink Union

  • 2 of 3

A Trip Down Memory Lane

I feel like I’ve come full circle. In November of 2008, I wrote this here as I was dreaming of what Owning Pink would be when I launched it in April of 2009. I called it my Owning Pink Manifesta, but really, it was a prayer.

The Secret To Attracting The Life You Desire

I can’t believe I wrote this nearly 3 years ago. Reading it now feels like a miracle. I want to share it with you now.

My Owning Pink Manifesta

Help me to inspire women to be their authentic selves.

Let me acknowledge my fears but not be driven by them.

Show me the way to bring my creative life together with my medical expertise.

Encourage me to help others bring creativity into their lives.

Help me facilitate other women in appreciating their divine feminine.

Help me empower women to be all that they can be.

Show me the way to incorporate my skills into nature.

Help me integrate my talents in service to others.

Let me nurture the wholeness in others.

Let me release the wounds of my training to open me to the dreams of my future.

Help me find balance in the midst of this journey.

Release my doubts about my limitations.

Encourage me to believe I am enough.

Show me the way to make it happen.

May I remember that love is what I do.

Reading this brought me to tears. It has all come true. I just reminded me that this is the secret of creating the life you desire. Get clear. Write it down. Ask for what you desire. Release it into the Universe. Let go. Surrender attachment to outcomes. Watch magic happen.

How To Own Pink

I also wrote this in November of 2008 - How To Own Pink.  I wrote, “Owning Pink is a perpetual state of being in which you embrace your femaleness, open yourself to creative expression, optimize your health and well-being, and grow through communion with other women, never forgetting that we girls, after all, do want to have fun. It’s reclaiming your femininity and empowering your inner Pink Goddess. It’s the desire and willingness to embrace your girlytude. It’s knowing and understanding and appreciating your body and how it works. It’s feeling comfortable in your own skin. It’s living authentically and transparently, without masks. It’s tapping into your creativity and exploring it with your sisters in Pink. It’s about female bonding and looking out for your girlfriends. It’s about being a woman and owning it, rather than rejecting, cursing, or hiding it.”

And it’s all true. Owning Pink is still all that.

Getting Your Mojo Back

In this post, I wrote, “The path to mojo differs for each of us. For some, mojo is a sense of purpose and meaning in your life. For others, it’s reclaiming optimal health or sparking your creativity. Some seekers find mojo by getting in touch with the Divine, while others get their mojo back by getting in touch with their sexual prowess. For many, it’s all of the above.” And really – that’s what my book is all about.

Full Circle

And so I sit here, once again, writing, spilling my guts, crying happy tears, healing, feeling grateful, bowing to the Divine, smiling at the perfect design of the Master Plan, and letting you in on my process. And I feel like everything has changed – and nothing has changed. I’ve had the answers within me all along. But I had to go around my elbow to get to my ass. It had to happen in Divine timing. Now it all makes sense.

Lissa, I'm so happy that you no longer feel lost or confused. Please know that, even when you felt that way, you were still doing great work, and helping a great many people. Thank you. Cindy L. is so right: YOU ROCK! I can't wait to see where this journey leads you!

First, I have to say Lissa, woman you ROCK! You've been a guiding light even when you were still wounded, which has taught me something about not needing to be perfect before stepping on into your greatness. Personally, I'm still in the muck, but I've been holding a vision for my future and trying to take whatever steps I can towards it. I've got to get connected on your website - still blog challenged somewhat! Love and sprinkles or sparkles or something!
