+ add your ownDon't know if the giveaway is still going but....anyway, I'd love to win it! Thanks.
I love the book giveaways. I usually comment on care2 articles, so this is a delightful bonus. My doctor (my M.D.) has been encouraging me to practice yoga for years, for stress relief and to replace exercise per se. I know that yoga would lengthen my muscles and calm my mind, but I have yet to become a regular practitioner. Hope I win the book to get me in the groove! Thank you.
I was a faithful practitioner for over three decades, until developing some joint problems in my 60s which have made it difficult to continue. One of the many reasons I'm looking forward to eventual knee replacement is the possibility of being able to practice again. Yoga helped me to remain agile and flexible, and was for me simply a joyful activity. I have missed it very much.
wow, did,nt know there were so many different kinds of Yoga . sounds like an interesting book.
Sounds like a yummy book. Thanks for the article!
must try ,,but in a small way....at frist...
The word Yoga (from Sanskrit) means union. Union of individual and the universe consciousness.
One enlightened person was asked how a human feels when he is integrated into the universal consciousness. He replied that it would similar to a situation where a salt statue wished to measure the depth of the ocean. So it went ahead and immersed itself and lost the individuality.
Thanks for the article.
It would be good to hear some other stories of encouragement. Yoga is definitely a positive necessity in my life but sometimes I can get unfocused..hearing others' ways of letting it envelope their world would be uplifting.
inspiring......... will be happy to win the book.
