The soul is the origin of consciousness. The fact that it is distorted in popular religion and dismissed by science is a matter of politics, not a matter of proof. The way of peace aims for the very heart of reality.
What is true for you, is true for everyone. The fundamentals of consciousness are that:

Awareness has depth.
The deeper you go, the more reality will change.
Reality is dependent upon your state of consciousness.
Ass your awareness goes deeper, it acquires more power.
This power can change the world, both inside and out.
There are no facts that cannot be influenced by awareness.
Ultimately your awareness creates everything you experience.

Regarding this list, I can imagine someone saying, Well, if all that is true for everyone, then it must be true for religious people and scientists. Happily, it is. People from every walk of life have stepped into the invisible realm. The scientific label for this place is quantum, although it would be more fair to call it quantum with a difference. The difference is that humans—and not just quarks and superstrings—have a place in the invisible realm.
