Tiger Cubs Adopted by Dog (Video)

Once again, I am delighted by the overwhelming power of motherhood! This primal urge is so strong that over and over again, we see one species of animal willing to mother the young of an entirely different species. In this case, a dog adopts abandoned tiger cubs!

The three cubs were born on November 14th in a Russian Zoo and unfortunately the mother abandoned them. In a desperate attempt to quickly find a replacement mother, the zoo posted an ad on the internet. The position was filled by a white Swiss shepherd that lived nearby – and the match has proved to be very successful. The mama dog hasn’t blinked an eye at nursing three striped felines and the cats are seemingly deeply satisfied with the taste of canine milk.
