Dang, I have tried all of this and need to get another night guard since I am a Hard Grinder due to extreme stress. Never will forget when I was down to 102 lbs they told me the only muscle that was strong was my jaw....WHAT'S WITH THAT???? Night Guard Needed Again!!!! Had one and the only one that works is on my lower jaw, not the top like a ton of people use. It is hard and difficult, but when you wake up in the middle of night grinding and have a headache, YOU NEED HELP FAST!!!

I rarely grind my teeth when I'm nervous.

It really is extremely important to wear a night guard if you grind your teeth. I have seen people who have worn their teeth to almost nubs before they even realized they were grinding their teeth at night.

The biggest clue, if you are not sure whether you do or not, is look at your teeth in the mirror. Are they ALL the exact same length and appear "flattened"? Then you grind.

Your general bite will be even(if normal), but the individual teeth will be at slightly different lengths (canines-eye teeth for example) if your bite is normal.
