Top 5 Foods for Healthy Skin

posted by Veronica, selected from Green Options May 11, 2009 5:08 pm

Water

Last, but certainly not least, is water. Pure, filtered water should be a large part of your daily intake. Water keeps our bodies (and skin cells) hydrated and helps to move out toxins, which helps to keep the skin clean and clear.

The more foods you replace with the organic version, the fewer toxins your body will be absorbing. The liver is our body’s mechanism for dealing with toxins, but it can only do so much, once it is over-loaded free radicals begin to form and, as you know, this is when signs of aging and health issues begin.

By paying special attention to what you are feeding your body, you will see positive results in not only your health and the way you feel, but also the way you look. Beauty truly does come from within.

Remember to add color to your plate (veggies/fruits). Also, the whole grains are v good sources of fiber and nutrients. I believe plant based diets with choices of fish/poultry are terrific.

i say water... yeah wherever it comes from! However, buying water isn't very good for the environment when you can easily get it out of the sink. and why pay for it anyways? lol - and oh yeah, I really wish they would just sell pomegranate seeds in the store, that would be so much easier ^_^

I enjoyed the article, but I'm confused. Why did this article take 5 separate pages? It could easily have been written on 1 page, so people don't have to wait around while their incredibly slow browser gets to the next page. PLEASE try writing shorter articles like this one all on one page so it doesn't take half an hour to read. Thank you!

pomegranates are also helpful
if you eat a half cup of seeds per week, it helps your skin out a lot! and pomegranates are delicious so it works out :)
