Fun to be back in the studio with a full crew. We had a lot of lively discussion about personal care today starting with our report from Green Diva Sandy Holtzman about a company in New York making luscious organic shea butter mousse body cream called AH! Romatic Soothers – and they are awesome! We got some samples and totally recommend trying some – like velvet on your skin!

Speaking of skin . . . The Sleeping Naked is Green segment was all about to shave (our legs for green divas) or not to shave - what’s a green diva to do? We found some awesome alternatives in waxing, sugaring (prior to researching this segment, I had never heard of sugaring! Gotta try that one)and even eco-friendlier ways to shave. Our feature interview was with Kari Whitman, the eco-interior designer to the stars in LA, who talks about her work with Jessica Alba, Emilio Estevez, Martin Sheen, Virginia Madsen, Leonardo DiCaprio and others. She is also a huge champion for animals and has started a animal rescue in LA called Ace of Hearts. When she’s not saving dogs, she’s busy designing very eco-friendly and beautiful custom dog beds made from recycled plastic bottles – they are affordable and ALL profits go to the Ace of Hearts rescue!

Green Diva Lisa’s Take Two segment offered some great ideas for holiday gift giving and how to keep it green, thoughtful and charitable.

If you don't want to shave make sure to carry a mineral salt stick. Keeps the smell down but you sweat it off.

I'm too old, hair on the top of the head, eye brows and lashes yes, everything else must go! LOL.

Who ever came up with women shaving in order to appear more "feminine"? For that matter, the same question could be asked about the beards of men.

It's good to be aware of options. Personal grooming decisions like this are very individual. Everyone should learn about various options and pick what works best for them.

I quit shaving my legs & underarms about a year ago now (apart from a short while due to festival season - leg hair is super painful if you sleep in tights or socks, & I'm not giving up those things in a freezing cold tent!!). It's very encouraging to read the comments on here & to know that not everybody thinks of something so natural as being so disgusting. Thanks a lot for opening up the discussion of female body hair - it's something that definitely needs to be brought up more so that people can assess why their views on it being 'gross' exist (because if another hairy man tells me that it's 'wrong' then I'm going to scream - if it's not wrong or smelly or disgusting or unsexy on you then it's not on me, surely that's obvious?!) x
