I love watching the dog shows, but the dog show breeders are not above being just as bad in their treatment of their dogs as the dog mill breeders. a good example is with the Chinese Crested breed, it's common practice for breeders of these dogs to use a method called 'bucketing' during birth to keep the price of their show dogs up to make a better profit. when a litter Chinese Cresteds are born, there are 2 types of puppies that always emerge, one being the 'hairless', and one which is called the 'Powderpuff' which is born with hair. the breeders that only want to sell the hairless Chinese Crested for the purpose of show dogs, and to make a greater profit, take the puppies born with hair (the Powderpuff) and drop them into a bucket full of water as soon as they are born. this is called bucketing. the breeders who don't wish to sell their Chinese Cresteds for show will always sell the Powderpuffs too. even though I enjoy watching these dog shows, they still make me angry, because I know too much about what goes on behind the scenes.

the show allows us to see all the different breeds of dogs and to realize just how beautiful they all are in their own way.!

I dislike dog/cat or horse shows, i think if it was up for the animal he woudn't be at a show, it would rather runnig in the park/forest/beach getting dirty instead of being Mr/Miss most perfect beauty!!
Shows are for people so the can tell another participant, " look mine was the best",nananana!!
