Wisdom from Loren Slocum

Wisdom from Loren Slocum

I have learned that life is truly a gift.

I have learned how important it is to be specific about what you wanted because if you are not, something else may be ordered up and it may not be what you wanted.

I have learned to listen to my heart and not every person that comes along with an opinion of how they think I should do things.

I have learned to be REAL and AUTHENTIC all the time.

I have learned that taking care of your body, mind and spirit will help you accomplish your dreams even faster than you imagined.

I have learned how much fun it is to be on a great team of people.

I have learned how important it is to Do the Right Thing Every Day of Your Life.

I have learned how powerful a smile can be.

I have learned I don’t have all the answers nor do I need to.

I have learned I have to say No sometimes.

I have learned how much I still don’t know.

I have learned how important it is to just “be”.

I have learned and understand now that it is not “the world” but “my world”….Continue reading at InspireMeToday.com.

Life IS a gift ... too often squandered away each day. How sad is that.

Things I have learned: (1) that while background and circumstances may have influenced WHO WE ARE, we are responsible for WHO WE BECOME, and (2) two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

ONE OF THE SECRETS OF LIFE IS TO MAKE STEPPING STONES OUT OF STUMBLING BLOCKS.

Five things we can't recover in life:
The Stone, after it's thrown,
The Word, after it's said,
The Occasion, after it's missed
The Time, after it's gone
A Person, after they die.

DON'T SELL YOURSELF SHORT, YOU HAVE MANY PERSONAL GIFTS TO DRAW ON AND SHARE,K IF ONLY YOU'D TAKE A MOMENT TO NOTICE ...

Tincture of Time
Good Example, handling tough ones maturely
Seeing the Best in People (look hard)
Teaching, thru example or personal experience
Listening, with interest (while being quiet)
Promote sel-esteem rather than unnecessary
advice and help ... which cripple the spirit
Self-disclosure (which comes w/trust) is a
relationship builder to take you as far as
you want it to

YESTERDAY IS HISTORY ... TOMORROW IS A MYSTERY ...TODAY IS A GIFT (THAT'S WHY WE CALL IT "THE PRESENT"!

An attitude change is an amazing door to a new world. It's our job / responsibility to unlock it.

Now if we could all learn these things, what a wonderful world it would be.

Those were all very true. I especially agree with the last one. I don't understand people when they see suffering somewhere else and they say, "We only need to take care of OUR OWN". Well, they are our own fellow human beings...Th
