Wonder Bath Cookies
By Melissa Breyer, Producer, Care2 Green Living.
Some people indulge in chocolate cookies to cure their woes—-but that type of “healing” generally lasts only as long as the cookies do. (And then you get a stomachache.) With these cookies that are made to dissolve in the bath, the healthy effects linger long after the tub is drained. They are easy to bake and make the bath an absolute oasis. Learn how to make these healing bath cookies using sea salts to detox, oils to moisturize the skin and essential oils for aromatherapy.
5 tablespoons ground flax seeds (or 2 eggs)
6 tablespoons water
2 cups sea salt (finely ground)
1/2 cup baking soda
1/2 cup cornstarch
2 tablespoons oil (see Hints)
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
5 drops essential oil
Optional ingredients: Flower petals, small dried flowers, citrus peel, herbs, ginger
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl mix the ground flax seeds with water and stir until the mix becomes gelatinous. If using eggs instead, omit the water and whisk until mixed. Add the rest of the ingredients and combine to create dough. Shape dough into teaspoon size balls and place them on a baking sheet. Bake for ten minutes or until golden.
Drop two cookies in the tub and let dissolve. Makes 24 cookies.

I love this recipe and can't wait to try it, what a great idea for adding to girlfriends Xmas gifts! Denise I recommend visiting your local independent health stores who usually stock a good range or doing an internet search as there are many good oil suppliers on the net.
