Working Outdoors from Inside Your Office

German scientists are bringing a view of the sky indoors with a state of the art lighting system they hope will generate a pleasant environment for desk-bound office workers. The researchers want to put an end to poorly lit work environments they say adversely affect a workers’ concentration, performance, and health. Photo Credit: Peter Kaminski via Flickr.

I wish my workplace had this lighting system. It's a huge building, so most of the space has no natural light. Only the manager offices get windows. I miss my sunshine!

Not sure I'd want to be sitting all day under all those LED lamps.
Why don't the workers we see at the beginning of the video open the blinds (they can turn computers to avoid reflection on screens) and the windows too?
I like the sky blue and white lighting, not so sure about the bright red and green though. Colleagues might interpret my moods according to colour choice, green for zen and red for "Beware! Angry and in a bad mood - keep away!"

my office has no windows at all or decent lighting and gets depressing and claustrophobic at times..
