A missing component from the popular book The Secret is the important role our environment plays in manifesting the life we desire.
According to the laws of attraction, every thought radiates a signal and attracts a matching signal. Every object in our homes is a physically manifested thought-form of our conscious and unconscious belief system about what we believe we deserve to be, do and have in life. The single woman who desires a relationship but surrounds herself with single objects and pictures of single women is vibrationally anchoring into her home unconscious affirmations of the opposite future she desires.
Feng Shui is powerful because it teaches us to become conscious of the hidden messages in our physical surroundings that may not be serving us, giving us valuable insights as to why our lives may be headed in the directions they are! It provides valuable tools for getting our lives back on track and teaches that we can literally shift our future by shifting the vibration of our physical environments. As we arrange our space to reflect what we truly want, our lives follow suit. It is simply the law of attraction: like attracts like.
Feng Shui addresses the subtle things in our environment that wear on us over time and bring our chi (energy) down. Examples might be clutter piles, the sharp-edged furniture that can injure, plants dying or limping along, objects from past relationships that bring us down, dis empowering or disturbing art, heavy objects like beams or ceiling fans overhead create a feeling of being unsafe. Beds and key pieces of furniture placed with our backs to the door will also create a feeling of dis empowerment. Highly manufactured products like plastics and synthetics not only pose health issues because of the out-gassing, but will also carry a denser vibration.

"What's wrong with women in subordinate roles?" Nothing as long as women CHOOSE that. The equal …
We all should be as dedicated as these brave people. Thanks for the video Chris.
My Mom, age 91, still goes to the nearby nursing home and plays the piano for "the old people" there…

+ add your ownVia three Feng-shui articles I really, really get the message that I need to clean away my clutter... I've been sleeping on top of boxes from my past marriage for two years now!! Most of them I don't even remember what is inside them, so if I haven't needed any of it for such a long time, it's HIGH time to let it go.... and Catherina, the connection 'I keep it because I won't be able to affort anything else when I need' it touched me deeply, thank you.
I actually took the time to read this one! Very interesting, I have a lot of work to do in my house.
I forgot, I gave in and bought another ironing board at Ikea, no iron though as that is easier to carry back and forth. So, I basically added more stuff. Not good!
As I was reading this article I kept looking around the mess I've been living with for several months. Running between a non home, a rental property where my 2 cats and husband and son stay over night with half the furniture of our home, which houses 4 foreign students, so it is a business and not a home anymore. I have paintings in the old home on the floor, nothing on the wall in the not yet home, and it drives me bunkers. Books overflowing in both places, a piano here, a gift of another piano over there. One ironing board and one iron which has to travel back and forth depending on the need. I have clutter in both places, and I am ready to throw in the towel, (there are lots of towels in both places that I could throw in). Anyways, the point I am trying to make is, that I really appreciated your posts, as they give me hope and courage that I can, one step at a time, sort out this mess and get back to normalcy minus the clutter. So, Thank you so much!
Thank you, as always inspirating a lot!
This is interesting. I think I might get rid of some of my artwork that isn't calming, and reframe some stuff that could lighten up the effect. And I don't have any houseplants in my living room - maybe that should change.
Thank you Catherine for sharing this with us. These ah'hah moments are important because once we are aware of our beliefs we can start to work on changing them. Good for you that you saw this!
Love your articles, Erica!
This comment describes me:
"Lots of clutter might say 'I am fearful and I am too poor to get anything new so I must hold on to everything',etc."
I've been that way for many years, even when I had plenty of money. My mom taught me to be super frugal, even though they weren't broke, either. I saved everything for fear that one day, I'll be broke and need that thing. Now that day is here, probably as a direct result of hoarding junk. My fear attracted this misfortune. I'm still saving everything, thinking surely I'll need it soon. I hope others can learn from my mistake.
Wow, very interesting topice. I must de-clutter now !
i sure wish i were more organized in the way of feng shui
