Inspired by Earth Magic, by Claire Nahmad (Inner Traditions, 1994).

I really thought mine would be an Eagle as that is Spiritually what i'm connected too!!

As an active Shaman and psychic, it's clear to me that this is for entertainment purposes and provides no real wisdom. Little do many people know but animal spirit guides are more profoundly available and rarely does a person have just one. Also, interpretations are misleading because 'your' raven guide may have something very different to say to you than some one else's raven guide. It's much more rewarding to get personal with your animal spirit guides. No animal spirit guides attach themselves to horoscope signs.

My personal bird is the Raven, so I really don't fall into the typical birds for Taurus. I'm actually suprised that they are all beautiful birds as I fall in to the something of an ugly duckling category...

I'm a Scorpio so Eagle ties in, also Vulture as I use Vulture medicine in my shamanic healings (when called for) it is powerful medicine. There are other birds/featherd totems that I work with who have been with me many years. However, this list is a good start. www.GrassdancerEssences.com

I like my zorastrian horoscope symbols better than the rooster (I am a shy elderly lady); magpie (I don't like shiny collections of things)or the parrot (quiet, not given to squawking). My avatars of choice are snowy owls (all owls, really), Raven, the creator of this world; bald eagles and herons, and little shore birds, the clowns of the ocean shores. Oh, well, I wonder what my animal avatar would be?

I burst out laughing when I read that Aquarius is associated with the cuckoo and the albatross. Most people think we are a little cuckoo. Dont know about the albatross part - if anything just the opposite.

Confirmation indeed, as a Scorpio I have always had an affinity with the Eagle. Specially when I see them soaring to the great heights over the mountains here in Western Cape of South Africa

I like all birds in general, especially the ones coming near to humans like blackbirds in europe(singing so nicely in when evening comes)and here in saudi arabia the bulbul birds liking the fig trees, chirping loudly like"hello its me i'm here'and whats strange the stork is a well known bird in my homecountry france especially in the northeast,i have to discover the sandpiper to feel that this bird could correspond to me,a fish:)

:D LOL i must admit i opened this link with one eyebrow raised nearly off my face in skepticism. but it was a surprise to find that the three birds associated with sagittarius are three birds i've often identified with - especially the bird of paradise (or in my language, cenderawasih) :) interesting, that.
