They have until Sept. 1, 2009 to renew their lease. I emailed them a few days ago & they told me that they still needed helps & that donations have pretty much stopped coming in. We can't allow them to lose their lease. The work they do is too important.

They urgently need funds because at the present time, there are 15-20 dogs at TEARS who have been diagnosed with heartworm & need treatment. The cost to cure is approximately $350 to $600 (depending on the weight of the dog & choice of veterinarian).

We are a Animal Rescue group in N.C. that is on the VERGE OF DISASTER. We rescue Cockers and other dogs and we have been having a hard time of it recently. We have no volunteers, fosters, sponsers, or any kind of financial assistance.

Suki was brought in by a Laurens County Animal Control officer. She's a sweet, loving girl - amazing in such an abused dog. Suki just craves affection. She's only about a year old and has probably been chained her entire life.
