Durham mental health professionals think nonviolent inmates who are mentally ill need treatment more than a stay in jail or prison. Thanks to a federal grant, they'll be able to help such inmates quicker.

Medical advances mean HIV patients are more likely to die of heart disease, liver disease and non-AIDS , researchers are still trying to determine which is more devestaing. Good article on medications down from 24 pills a day to 4 & one mans story
