Coming from Britain, I thought I knew what beech woods were like, but this was far mote wild and beautiful than I'd ever seen. The older trees were massive, the silver-gray bark on their huge trunks mottled with pastel greens and yellows of lichens.

On our way to Remakri of Bandarban a very small andcolourful bird attracted our attention near Tindu (E 92˚20.973 N 21˚53.214). It was busy grabbing insects when it was done with chirruping. We were amazed by the beauty of the smart bird.
