River, thanks for your dedication to Eight Belles! I too was saddened to hear about this tragedy. The people who caused this should be punished to the full extent of the law, which in turn hopefully might prevent this form of animal cruelty from happening again. |

River, thank-you for this memorial. I would like to know if there is an investigation about what happened to Eight Belles prior to the race and what the results of that might be, if this could have been prevented. I am broken hearted. |
