Don't put tap water in your pond - That's the message from Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust (WWT) this summer as responses start pouring in to their nationwide survey of ponds and backyard wetlands.

You shouldn't even bathe in this tap water---the chlorine is very bad for your lungs and body. And the least of that is it drys out your skin. Thanks Cher

Blech. Better to trap rainwater in a barrel (just keep it covered to keep the 'skeeters out) and use thant, hey?
