Disgusting greedy swines, all they care for is the money in their pockets, and to hell with the environment... lets hope they will be stopped, and that they will have to clean up the environment that they have damaged.

Signed. I have been in Southern Appalachia and seen the scars. In 1992, with my younger son I camped out on a West Virginia mountain with 35,000 members of the Rainbow Family for 3 months to protest this practice.

The mega destruction of blowing the top of a mountain is clear for all to see. The permanent destruction of wetland habitat, the death of rare aquatic plants and fish stocks in not so easy to see but it happens each time this kind of event is triggered.

Let us strive to outgrow the use of coal for an energy source, it is the most offensive form of energy production to the environment as it is. If there is no profit in coal, there will be no profiteers destroying the sweet earth of Southern Appalachia.
