Vivisection is the [most evil] of all the [evil] crimes that man is at present committing against God and His fair creation. It ill becomes us to invoke in our daily prayers the blessings of God, the Compassionate, if we in turn will not practice elementary compassion toward our fellow creatures. ... I abhor vivisection with my whole soul. All the scientific discoveries stained with innocent blood I count as of no consequence."
~Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, 1869 - 1948, Nobel Prize Winner

"I abhor vivisection. It should at least be curbed. Better, it should be abolished. I know of no achievement through vivisection, no scientific discovery, that could not have been obtained without such barbarism and cruelty. The whole thing is evil."
~Dr. Charles Mayo, Founder of the Mayo Clinic

"Atrocities are no less atrocities when they occur in laboratories and are called medical research."
~George Bernard Shaw, Irish Playwright and Critic

"I am not interested to know whether vivisection produces results that are profitable to the human race or doesn't.... The pain which it inflicts upon unconsenting animals is the basis of my enmity toward it, and it is to me sufficient justification of the enmity without looking further."
~Mark Twain, 1835 - 1910

“Evidently the reason why it is wicked to torture a man is not because he has an immortal soul, but because he has a highly sensitive body; and so has every vertebrate animal, especially the warm-blooded. If we have no moral right to torture a man, neither have we a moral right to torture a dog. We have to add to our morals a new chapter on the rights of animals.
~Macaulay’s Prize Essay, Vivisection

"Ask the experimenters why they experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are like us.' Ask the experimenters why it is morally okay to experiment on animals, and the answer is: 'Because the animals are not like us.' Animal experimentation rests on a logical contradiction."
~Professor Charles R. Magel

Every crazy experiment gets done in this 100 x 35 mile island! why can't this be done (it shouldn't be done, of course) somewhere in the midwest??? isn't the states a little too big?? it's all because of the tropics, right. I will start praying for the biggest huricane the island has ever seen. i hope you all help. The taino god Juracan - cleaner of all dirt, sort of like the goddess Kali Mata.
It is unbelievable and it makes me very angry.
Monsanto and co. are all over the place... this is too much, too much.
