It's not acceptable to trap them in glue and leave them to struggle to death! There are different people and organisations who would be willing to take in poor little creatures like this, and not kill them off just for trying to live...

I didn't say it was acceptable. I just asked what would be. My barn was full of them but I got a cat and she keeps them under control.

Rodents,rats bring many diseases and their population way exceeds human population and they are also a safety hazard to kids, they bite and destroy everything ,iam against cruelty but in this case this is preventing a disease{bubonic plague?}and many others.If this is a way to extinguish them Iam for it

Use cats. They get a home at the schools. The rats are kept in check. What's the big deal?

humans r getting out of control. they r loosing touch with nature! Enough! this is CRUEL! there is civilsed ways in controling the population & they r only disease infested because of the environment they r in not if they were in the country.Farmers in India eat them to control there population. not recommending that for NY though. there r better ways to deal with this issue.
