This is because they refused a rig from another company. They should be fined their daily profts for the entire company for each day that this oil spill is continuing. The money would then be available for the essential clean up and research that will need to be done. They then need to fine the directors who refused the rig of their personal profits.

Environmental disasters need to be taken more seriously!

It is thanks to people like you and those of us here on Care2 who can get the message out to those who can do something about it or those who are simply uninformed and would be inspired to join the cause.

WHAT GETS A SOCIOPATH TO STOP WHAT HE OR SHE IS DOING? LOSS OF REPUTATION > THAT AFFECTS THEIR POWER STRUCTURE > WHICH AFFECTS THEIR PROFIT MARGIN > WHICH AFFECTS THEIR PERSONAL LIFESTYLE > WHICH FINALLY AFFECTS THEM.

GOOD PEOPLE HAVE TO STOP WONDERING WHY THE EARTH IS BEING PLUNDERED. A SOCIOPATH ONLY NEEDS ONE REASON - "BECAUSE IT CAN BE".

STOP THE LOBBYISTS WHO WORK FOR THEM, AND GET THE SOCIOPATHS OUT OF GOVERNMENT. THEY ARE ENACTING LAWS TO PROTECT THEMSELVES AND NO ONE ELSE, EXCEPT THOSE WHO SUPPORT THEIR POWER STRUCTURE. THERE CAN BE NO MORE POLITICAL APATHY. THEY WILL STOP AT NOTHING, AS LONG AS THEY DON'T GET CAUGHT, AND AREN'T PUBLICLY EMBARRASSED AND PUNISHED.
