Couldn't wait till later...great article and way oh so true!!!

Their habitat sadly is disappearing fast, if it isn't fires, it is greed. Also, when they can't get into these trees and they are gone sadly so are these special and wonderful Koalas. They only eat eucluptis (sp sorry) trees. They need their space to be protected.

Got to be something we can do for these gentle creatures.

This is so worng we have repeatedly asked Mr Garret to put them on the Endangered Species list but he refuses to , we did have some hope that Anna Bigh would keep her promise to protect the Koala Coast but typical ploitician she sold out to develpoers. Something major needs to be done our pollies are hopeless and wake up before we lose an Australian icon. The only hope we have left is the pure colony at Kangaroo Island which is a true wildlife sanctuary. Owing to its isolation from the mainland, the Island has suffered less from the impact of European settlement and retains more than half of its native ‘old-growth' vegetation - a vast area of some 2,250 square kilometres.

Similarly, the Island has been spared the damage done by foxes and rabbits, ensuring the integrity of native bushland.

Result? Animal and bird populations have thrived.
Koalas are our biggest Tourisim seller everyone wants their photo taken with a Koala I have my own foster Koala and more Gov businesses are getting in on the act.
