The correllation between animal abuse and human abuse is so well documented nowadys to surely need no introductin to the one would assume reasonably intelligent and hopefully well read judiciary! Those tat would seek to coerce a partner or child by threatening a small or large pet really are the lowest of the low. There internal logic can have no more differentation than the street mugger intent on a quick buck to support a drug habit etc In other words if they don't think that's wrong they are hardly going to be trusted not to go on to rape
or murder! The victims of these people are equally harmed by abusive relationships and the penalties should reflect this whether it is a child, animal or the partner that has suffered injury or even death at the hands of these monsters!
