Very sad, time they moved the shipping route away from where blue whales and others feed. In most cases this is the cause, ship are allowed to travel to close, or in the path of whale migratory routes or feed areas.

I accept that a survey ship wouldn't have its sonar on all of the time but surely in an area where there are whales they should be aware!
