Wild animals are not toys, and they are not pets. It's time for people all around the world to grow the heck up and stop acting like they are entitled to make toys and pets out of everything they see because they are just glorified four-year-olds. It's time to bring this stuff to a screeching halt and right now. If the people who run zoos can't behave properly and respect wild animals, it's time to shut down the zoos entirely. Zoos are for education, particularly if some animals have been tamed or injured and cannot survive in the wild. Zoos are also for breeding programs to re-populate species in the wild. Zoos are never for this and we must make it stop.

Definitely signed this one. How degrading can one get. Penny in the slot toy animals until one kills a child doing what come naturally to a wild animal. First we have to learn to respect wild animals before we move onto caring for their futures. this place seems to do neither...just exploits them which is so wrong.

Part of the petition says the following:

The animals appear to be very sedate and tame, with keepers seen 'playing' rough and tumble games with them.

I think the animals have been drugged for them to allow this happen.

And like some people have commented, if something goes wrong and the animals attack, its the animals that are going to pay the price.

What can I add... I'm Argentine. I was bitten by a monkey when I was a little girl due to this deplorable and dangerous interaction. I was lucky I didn't lose a finger... Animals are not toys and certainly they are not here for our amusement. Just respect them as they are!!!

This is so severely stupid, butter yet these people are severely stupid. And of course guess who is going to take the brunt of it. Right the animals of course, one way or the other! I don’t even like the fact these and many other animals are even in cages. First of all there’s not enough room, their out of their on natural environment basically imprisoned. This is wrong, so wrong. Who in the hay thinks it is or ever was ok to do such a hideous crime to cage such large animals.
Something else for the human race to control...
