STOP ALLOWING FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO FEEL IT IS THIER RIGHT TO BE PART OF THE MEAT EATING SOCIETY. IT IS THE OBLIGATION OF THOSE OF US WHO KNOW THE HORROR OF THE ANIMALS RAISED FOR FOOD TO START BEING OUTSPOKEN, TO START TREATING POEPLE WHO EAT MEAT THE SAME WAY NON SMOKERS TREAT SMOKERS, OR RAPISTS, OR CHILD MOLESTERS.

IF WE DONT START STANDING UP AND BEING AGGRESSIVE AND BOLD THIS HORROR WILL NEVER STOP.

I, like Tierney, shake my head and wonder how anyone can treat a sentient being in this manner. And I also wonder why it is that those who have the responsibility ito stop these atrocities must be "pushed" into doing so instead of stopping it because it is the right, ethical and moral thing to do.

Julie - thank you for saying it like it is. Every time Angel Flynn writes an article about the veganism the flesh-slurping MORLOCKS show up, whining about how violently killing and murdering other species to suck up their flesh and blood is a "right" and a "personal choice" and scream about how we are trying to "force them to give up meat."

That anyone, after having these atrocities DOCUMENTED, would STILL take such a position is atrocious. It's too bad I can't round *them* up, incarcerate them, and give them a choice: refrain from killing other animals, and live (by eating plants)....or starve to death (and do us a huge favour by eliminating you from the human gene pool)!

I get so disgusted with just signig petitions and not eating animal products. tryig to get people to live a veg/vegan lifestyle. It is never going to change if we dont start getting more aggressive as veg/vegans. we have to stop being so passive towards others who eat meat. we have to start treating them like the monsters they are. we shun murders, rapists, child molesters, dont let poeple smoke in our home or car, yet a meat eater is treated like they are normal and nothing is wrong with what they are doing.

society has to change its opionion about using animals for food. untill we start treating using animals for food as the barbaric disgusting thing that it is, it will never stop.

Dear Julie - I have never accepted the resignation that some have expressed, saying "Oh, you'll *never* get everyone in the world to give up meat." But why shouldn't we expect them to do this?

As you so estutely pointed out, we shun all sorts of recognized evils, such as murder, rape, slavery, and a host of other horrific behaviours. Why should this be any different? Why should slavery still be permitted to exist in any form? These people ARE accountable for their behaviours and actions, and it's about time they were reminded of this.

Merely because something "is" doesn't mean it should be, and simple because "everyone does it" doesn't make it morally or ethically acceptable. The point was made by both you and Samantha R. that people should be doing what is morally and ethically sound BECAUSE IT IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO.

That people have to be dragged into doing what is right concerning injuries we as a species have caused to other species is ridiculous. Moral and ethical humans, who do not and will not tolerate slavery, SHOULD be rubbing the noses of these collective evil-doers into their bloody pile of sins because OTHER SPECIES ARE SUFFERING IN THE MEANTIME, WAITING FOR THESE MONSTERS TO WISE UP and I am losing patience with all the exucses and foot-dragging because *some* humans want to prolong the agony of other species for their own selfish reasons. This isn't acceptable.

In the past, I have been harassed, teased and called names for my conscientious objections to eating other animals, and know that many of us here probably have been, too. Do not let them get away with this; turn the table around and FORCE them to answer for their own actions and behaviours because the bottom line is - they can't justify their violence against other creatures, we've morally and logically got them by the jugular, and they know it now.

It's time we held them accountable for their horrible behaviour; the time for letting them get away with "it's a choice" and "it's my right" is OVER - other species should NOT have to wait for their sorry asses to get this through their skulls.

Challenge, challenge, and don't let them try to wriggle their way out of any type of debate or forum. Put them the pressure on them and rub their noses in the fact that they are directly or indirectly blood-thirsty MONSTERS who condone slavery. The time to be "nice" about it is OVER in my opinion. The truth has been out there, people have access to it, it's been documented and proof has been obtained - excuses from them should not be tolerated.

I am grateful to know our voices and demands on behalf of those deprived of life itself are getting stronger daily.
