How cool! I saw last year the same people I think doing this, and even if they are following a flying machine somehow they know it's flown by friends that help them find their home, after learning how to fly helped by these beautiful people. Thank you Cher. If someone knows where to find video, please share it with us, is great!

This is such a brilliant story. It's the kind that makes you feel really proud to be human. I was only just reading about this yesterday. In the 1940s there were only 21 Whooping Cranes left, due to hunting and habitat loss.

I read or see this happening every year. Do they pen the birds up in FL? How else would they keep them from following the plane back? Do the cranes raised in WI every year return there to breed? If they don't return to WI, why don't they??
