The system continuously monitors the highway travel lanes and shoulders using infrared energy beams. When the sensors are activated by an animal, a flashing beacon automatically warns approaching drivers.

How excellent,. I live in Vermont where we have many moose and I know that hitting a moose (because they weight over a thousand poungs) can kill the animals and the passengers in the automobile. Thank you Cher, for this good news. I guess after this equipment has been tested and proven, it will be available to other states where there are animal crossing hazards.
