It's Ants Vs. Elephants, and Ants Are Winning

Elephants, as you can imagine, have really hearty appetites. This is a problem in African savannas, where, in the battle of tree vs. elephant, the elephant usually wins. It uses its mighty trunk to rip off branches and demolish the tree.

Thanks Cher. I had heard there was a problem with ants and that elephants won't eat from trees that are covered with ants. Poor elephants! They have enough struggles as it is to find food!

Thank you Cher. This is a fascinating article. I love ants and do my best to protect them in my garden, home and by watching where I walk. I love elephants too - they are so majestic. It is a pity that they have to put up with the greed of man. The ants, well that is the trees natural defense.

They too, are created by the same loving hand of God which Created us…
It is our duty to Protect them and to promote their well-being.”
