Thank you so much for posting this, dear friend! (I hope you won't mind if I add this, from the same site.)
We still need over 1,000 pumpkin pies for Operation Turkey Dinner this holiday season. And with money tight this year, I'm afraid we may not have the funds we need.
Thank you for spreading the word by sending eCards out, which also helped to increase the number of pumpkin pies Native American Elders can enjoy this Thanksgiving. Did you know you could also share this email on FaceBook ?
Right now, we don't have all the pies we need, so are thankful for the extra time - and to YOU and all your friends helping to make sure there will be enough!
With so many Native Elders counting on us for Operation Turkey Dinner, won't you please take a couple of minutes right now to send 5 Free eCards now — knowing that for every 5 eCards you send, Native Elders will get a free pumpkin pie?

Thanks...So signed, and yes, Just "C" I have been mailing out the E-Cards on the site from Kat for over a week.

Native Americans need in the San Diego Area, they have their casinos and get $$ off of that, but what about South Dec. where they freeze and have no heat, and the YAHOO comes up to get all of their money.

SHAME, SHAME, SHAME, on all of the UNITED STATES of AMERICA for this, I live here, and would really expect better for our Native Americans that OH SOOOO took better of the United States until the Settlers came in...

This is an extremely important petition. It touches the heart of the reason that Americans have evolved the foreign policy that is so destructive. I live and work on an Indian Reservation. What I have learned in my 20 years here was both revealing and healing. America needs to study its true history and not its mythology. Corporations are simply carrying on a policy that we initiated AND CONTINUE to this day. When we stop punishing the Native Americans for owning land we can then turn and treat the rest of our population in a humane way.

I have signed . I have witnessed first hand the terrible poverty on some Reservations in the N.Dakota area of the United States. I wanted my children to see the reservation as their Dad is Native American and grew up on the Reservation. I was shocked by the poverty there. There is nothing there for them to do anything, no way to get jobs unless you are one of the lucky ones to be able to work at the Casino. I think the United States should be ashamed of the way the Native American people are treated. These people need help and I am glad this is on here to bring some attention to this issue because alot of people are suffering there. Right here in the good old US of A !!

Signed and noted. A very important post. We need to embrace the philosophy of the Native Americans - especially in their care and concern for the land, animals and plants. We can never repay them for what has been done to them by the white man. It is horrid that they have been subjected to such conditions on the reservations. I hope this can somehow be rectified.

many pledges were made to the native american indians and broken, not only was their homelands taken away from them but also some of the reservation lands that were given to them because in some cases gold and all sorts of other minerals were found on their land along with uranian that should have been theirs by right and the proceeds to improve the quality of life among the indian people's,what the US government owes them is beyond price, and it is true that the white man speaks with a forked tongue and thats the real tongue of the serpent.

ANYONE who is a believer in tradition, will not find many groups as traditional as American Indians. One of their main goals is to preserve their way of life, which conservatives should understand, more than any other group.

Is it my imagination, or are conservatives, the least compassionate for the original owners of this great land? We are the invaders!!!

Signed pledge, & noted, thanks Cher. Seems Native Americans have been "swept under the rug", & forgotten by our society. I have always felt empathy & compassion, as well as respect & admiration for America's first people. Even though, to my knowledge, I have no Native American blood, I stand up for them when needed, & have taught our daughter the truths concerning our "relationship" with these proud people throughout history, no matter what her teachers or history books tell her.

I have great respect for native people in N. America. The white europeans were helped so much by them and they responded with treachery, lies, deceit, and destruction. To promise something and break that promise is an abomination barely conceivable. I get very emotional whenever I look at what was done to them.
The only thing to do for native people now is---flourish and prosper no matter what and in spite of all.

i al ready made a comment about broken treaties by the government, there is some thing else that everyone should also know and that is not only have the indians been given short shrift regarding their lands the that has funded many of their black projects and allowed certain funds to go missing, well they have not gone missing because much of this money belongs to the indians and it is in the billions possibly trillions,so what this means is everyone has been betrayed and its the indians most of all and its by the US government it does not matter if it is a past government,so there is no excuse not to put it right.
