In 2008 a female ocelot was trapped and fitted with a radio-tracking collar at Laguna Atascosa National Wildlife Refuge. She was given the name Esperanza, meaning hope in Spanish.

Oh My Goodness Cher, so wanted to star you for this NEWS AT SITE!

These are totally awesome and special creatures, and when I was only 5 years old and saw my first Ocelot at the San Diego Zoo, I told my Dad I wanted one....(didn't expect to get one, but Kids and what they want do make HARM TO OUR SPECIAL CREATURES).

Esperanza and Adonis may you have a healthy Breeding life, maybe you can play around a bit Esperanza...UMMMM You are one special Kitty Cat and I so want you and your breed to prosper and grow!

Thank you again Cher for this! I did have a chance to pet one that was at the San Diego Zoo when I worked as a fundraiser for the Endangered Animals, just touched the top of the head and was off, but I felt like I was given such a special gift to of at least to have seen, touched and known this AWESOME and WONDERFUL CREATURE! Prayers said that Esperanza lives long and prospers!

Sending a Green Star is a simple way to say "Thank you"
You cannot currently send a star to Cher because you have done so within the last week.
