UK Sets New Legally Binding Emissions Target

The United Kingdom, the first to enshrine reductions in climate change causing emissions into law, today announced a 2025 target of a 50 per cent emissions cut from 1990 levels.

However, if short-term growth in GDP is going to continue to be the aim of our governments, then it seems likely that environmental aims like this will continue to be too easily sacrificed. I think that humanity needs a more sustainable economy. I encourage everyone to look at the CASSE site at and consider signing the position statement there. And tell friends!
