Ontario has made huge strides toward a clean energy future by commiting to shut down dirty coal plants and scaling up renewable energy sources that don't pollute, like wind and solar. But now, some are trying to drag the province backward to a more

Signed and noted. I live in Ontario and we have many windmills right around our area. They are a way of moving forward to minimize dirty energy.

Signed. wind mills seem like a better alternative. Solar panels should also be considered as well.

signed - Ontario produced more energy than needed per year in 2011 Ontario payed to the US and other provinces $1.5 billion to take the extra energy. The government feels that wind power is unreliable energy to be eliminated and favor nuclear. I certainly do not agree with Ontario's "new" policy.

Signed and noted. We need clean green energy alternatives. I highly recommend the documentary "Peace Out" for an analysis of energy options set in the backdrop of the Peace River Valley. It is very interesting.

Wind and solar power, are heavily supported, it costs about $30K to do the average house with solar panels. Yes they wont work on really cloudy days but if everyone used them along with windmills then the need for polluting nuclear waste could be virtually eliminated. Here hoping our province does not go backwards. Also we should ensure that excess power is actually paid for not pay to have it dispersed.

A lunatic conservative wrote an article recently that was titled, 'Why is Obama wasting money on renewable energy sources'?
Is this a serious question?
