squirrels are timid little creatures,
but I've had a few trust me enough to come right up to me before.

I still know how do call a squirrel from when I was a kid.
It's one of the easiest animals to mimic,
but even if you do that perfectly
they're still usually scared of you.

I'm a fan of squirrels. However, I made the mistake of leaving walnuts and almonds on my window ledges some years ago. When I wasn't around to supply more, the squirrels really went "nuts". They pulled the catdoor off my backdoor, ate their way thru' the kitchen screen and also the screen on the back door. I learned to leave nuts well away from the house after that. I have 6 cats who didn't seem to mind the intrusions one bit.
