Although the UK Animal Welfare Act 2006 goes some way towards protecting vertebrates from cruelty, it does not protect non-vertebrates like lobsters and crabs. These animal have sophisticated nervous systems with many similarities to those of humans.

But if the man has no respect for their pets, which are also a part of the family,
as we will never pretend that he does not cook by boiling alive or eat live crabs and arogoste??
this sentence .. One mark of a civilized society is how it treats the animals under ITS control ...
I always leave more thoughtful

Signed. The image of lobsters in a tank makes me think of a New Yorker cover: little people in a tank in a restaurant for giant lobsters.

I always think it's terrible to see live lobsters waiting for their deaths in tanks in grocery stores, with their claws taped so they don't 'hurt' each other. I would never eat a lobster (or crab etc), and wish Red Lobster would close. I think they're pretty intelligent.

Signed & Noted! The first time I ever went to a Red Lobster restaurant and saw all the Lobsters cramped in a tank far to small, I was truly affected by that. I was 17 years old at the time and felt that they were crawling all over each other and had no space at all...It was then I realized that this was more than just a decoration of the brand name of the restaurant, when we had ordered Lobster and the waiter said , "Well come with me and pick out the Lobster you want"! Our choice was out of this tank....I Immediately told my date at the time, that I was truly sorry if I am to ruin your evening but this is impossible for me to do, as I will never submit to knowing that I was choosing a live Lobster to soon ingest and the horrible way that it was to die, all for my dining pleasure. We left the restaurant and dined elsewhere.......I have to this day, never once stepped foot into another Red Lobster restaurant since!..............Never will.
